Hey there Ahoyset. :D

Treasurer(Penguin) here, just would like to imform the batch that a set of rules and regulations have been drawn up by the treasury over the usage of funds and the way the treasury operates.

1. To gain acess to funds, one would have to seek grant from Hao Yang and one of the batch heads. Only when both parties come to an agreement can the money be released.

2. Batch's treasury funds will have a minimum of $10 and/or 15% of its initial funds in it.

3. However, under urgent cases, point two might be ignored.

4. Usage of money without fulfilling point one is prohibited. She/He who used the funds would be demanded to pay back fully the amount used.

5. As usual, receipts are to be shown upon redemption of money.

6. Any unauthorised usage of money or without the treasurers' knowledge could result in rejection of redemption of money. This would be on a case by case basis.

7. The Treasury would review the batch funds on the last week of every month.

1) Do remember to keep your DC standards HIGH.
2) If you are late, or fail your discipline check in ANY WAYS, you will be given 3 chances. After the 3 chances, you will be charged $2 for the next offence. Subsequent offences will be charged at $2.50.
3) THERE WILL BE DC TOOMORROW MORNING,20TH APRIL 2010, AT 6.50AM. Usual place at the red service road.

Hello Ahoyset ~~

Ric here, just wanna post what happened during the batch meeting today.

We shared our ideas about the job scopes of the different posts and hope that this could more or less give everyone an idea of what to write for the "Action Plan", which is due TOMORROW( Friday, 16th April 2010) . We have to write about what we expect about the job, what we hope to achieve and what do we want to hold( as in hold Discipline checks, welfare stuff, etc etc. ) EACH COMMITTEE only need to hand in ONE. :D

So here's about the meeting as mentioned by Wei Jun and everyone else:

1) PMT
-Project management(Do projects)
- Come up with 2-3 projects after mid-year exam
- Come up with lessons and teach about proposal writing

2) SAC
- Care aobut the student's safety and well being
- Help the students with the umbrellas on a rainy day in the morning
- Take charge of the PE loan system and equipment
- Combine the birthday chart of Ahoyset and Sparkplug. Then give gifts/cards to the people whose b'day is nearing to each batch.( That means Ahoyset SAC give gifts to Ahoyset, SP SAC give gifts to SAC)
- Organise outings if any and combine with SP (Outings together)
- Hold assembly talks after discussions with teachers and help them out in spreading certain message (Needs more considerations and planning for this point)

3) EDCC
- Make new cheer for competitions or events
- Help out in presenting the awards and trophy every friday
- Assist the SAC in their plans

4) CLC
- Unite the CCA Leaders
- Need a lot of research and planning on training the CCA Leaders (If you want to hold leadership seminars for the CCA Leaders)
- Act as a medium between CCA Leaders and the teachers

5)CCC
- Collect and organise the class files and diaries
- Put in the new sheets of class list earlier, not at the last minute when there is no space to mark attendance
- Take charge of the class monitors/monitresses
- Teach about the various job scopes of all the class committee posts

6)DC
- Enforce on SC's discipline standards
- Hold DC oftenly (We agreed on every Mondays during the batch meeting)
- Be strict about the discipline standards of the councillors ( Especially on appearance like the hairstyle and neatness etc etc)
- Have "After Discipline Check" plans to MAINTAIN the standards
- Deal with the "Phantoms" of the batch (People who usually don't turn up for meetings/events etc)
- Gives punishments for people who doesn't comply with the rules and regulations
- Coordinate with Sparkplug's Discipline Coordinators

7)Secretaries
- Aware of the meetings that is held (Somehow in charge)
- Do "Minutes" during meetings (Jot down the things that is mentioned)
- Attendance taking in the morning for the batch and inform the TEACHERS if any batchmate is not in school; Attendance taking for meetings
- Have a complete and updated contact list which includes Contact number, Email address. NEVER PUT NRIC/BC NUMBER ON THIS LIST!!
- Help the batch head on keeping records on people who usually doesn't turn up for meetings. (Based on the attendance list)
- Post the details of meetings in the batch blog AND LOCK IT so people who didn't turn up will have a clue of what is going on. (Like what im doing now :D)

8)Treasurers
- Money collection system (One that is organised and neat, doens't make things confusing)
- Collect batch funds for official and important events
- Make sure there is enough money in batch fund so that no one will fork out their own money and ends up losing track of the money at the end
- Have a fixed day for money collect. (Most probably $1 every week as discussed in the meeting)

9) Associates
- Council in meeting
- Learn from the Sec 4s
- Hold meetings with sec 2 to get along with them.

Things to take note of:
1) Provide help to our seniors
2) Create a stronger bond with Sparkplug

Hey guys, thank you so much for making IDC more or less a success. Because there is ALWAYS room for improvement but it's really really amazing whereby everyone is alert, inquisitive, proactive and really can think fast to change the plan and inform commandants. This is awesome and let's continue to keep up with the good work!:)

just wanna tell you guys something which i have been noticing among our batch and it keeps bothering me..Hope you guys can think about it before SLC..
I have been hearing some "complaining+gossiping"with each other and i don't think it's a good thing cause i think it will break out the unity and the bonding of our batch.Why can't you guys just tell the particular person to change in a "generous" manner?And why can't the particular person just change what people think of you and face the fact?And if you guys help one and other, won't the batch become more peaceful(no negative thoughts among each other) , united and bonding?
okay,end of my speech already, so sry to you guys that i did not say my thoughts of our batchmate just now because we do not have enough time to talk about it...
